Bullocksville Park - Kerr Lake NC Camping Review

Updated: Nov 18, 2018

We camped for two days at this little gem during late August, 2018. The campsites are on the smaller side, but our 37 foot rig fit nicely into site 51. The best thing about this campground are the views.

Although we weren't directly on the water, we had a beautiful lake view - being about 60' away from the water.

Getting there and setting up (3 out of 5)

We have a 37' rig, and some of the roads in were tight, but not on the white knuckle side of the equation. Backing into our site was a little tight, and we needed to have several spotters to make sure we didn't hit a car parked across the narrow road. We made it in one try, so it wasn't too bad. The site (51) was listed as level. We were about 3" off from front to back when we first pulled in. We pulled up on leveling blocks and used the jacks to get us level from there.

Power (5 out of 5)

We had 50 amp service at our site. The power was strong at 122 volts. We didn't have to use our Hughes Autoformer at all during the trip.

Water (4 out of 5)

Water was convienent at the back of the site. This was somewhat of a surprise since we thought we just had power. 4 out of 5 since it wasn't right next to the rig.

Dumping (3 out of 5)

There are no waste connections at the site itself, but there is a single dump station. The driveway to the dump station is narrow and the edges are a bit broken up. Other than that, it is a standard dump station.

Experience (4 out of 5)

Location, location, location. Being right on the water has its advantages. If you want a relaxing getaway, this is the place. If you're looking for great restaurants and entertainment, you'll need to travel. Raleigh is about 1.5 hours from this location.
